Details:
Yung Munn grew up in the suburbs known as Hickory Hill located in East Memphis. His love and passion for music was apparent at an early age and he would often entertain his family and friends with one melody after another.

Yung Munn comes from a line of musical talent, his great uncle Johnny Ace was a renowned crooner from the early fifties with chart topping hits such as The Clock, Never Let Me Go (rerecorded by Luther Vandross) and “Pledging My Love” later featured on the sound track from the movie “Christine”. Yung Munn’s father was a well know musician around the city of Memphis, and a member of the R&B band Ebonee Webb who released several top ten hits in the early eighties, song titles included Something About You, Anybody Wanna Dance, and Too Hot to Be Cool which was featured in the original Bad Boy’s movie.
Young Munn’s interest in Rap is influenced by musical greats Tupac, L.L. Cool J, Bone Thugs, Nelly, Little Wayne and T.I.

Yung Munn’s passion for music could only be matched by his love for basketball. He would spend his summer months attending various camps around the city and later played varsity basketball at Rossville Academy where the team won back to back State Championships both his junior and senior years. When not on the courts he could often be found in the upstairs music room searching for the instrument that best suited him, but would later realize that he felt most comfortable and energized behind the mic.

His knowledge of rhythm from beating the drums, his sense of melody from pecking on the piano, and old school funk from thumping the bass, is what Yung Munn attributes to the style of rap that you hear in his music.

Upon graduation from high school, Yung Munn attended Tennessee State University in Nashville, TN where he was a member and later voted president of the TSU Chapter of The Collegiate 100 Black Men of TSU. He was also an active member of Alpha Phi Omega National Service Fraternity inc.

After his sophomore year Munn left TSU to pursue his dream of becoming a Rapper/Song Writer. He has spent the last year writing and recording over 75 songs and is currently in the studio finishing up his début album to be released later this fall on the Independent Record Label OS2NS.
This CD has been three years in the making, with White Diamonds being one of the first songs recorded back in 2006, the actual project itself took about a year to finish. The White Diamonds mix tape is a collection of songs that were written toward the beginning of Munn''s career as well as a few tracks that were done especially for the mix tape itself… and basically the whole album was put together as a forewarning about not what was necessarily about to happen to the game, but who is about to happen to the game. So its really like a taste or better yet to take the title from the first track of the album which for those who haven’t copped the album you can find this track on You Tube…But the whole project is a demonstration better preparing the hip hop community for Yung Munn
This CD stand out from the crowd for the same reasonYung Munn stands out, being that he''s not afraid to be himself, you can listen to the album or you can look at him as a rap artist and think its on a hood level or you could think that its gonna be on more of a political or controversial tip… talking about the problems we face wit the nation and intern wit the government, you could think its all about partying or just for the ladies… but the reason the album is similar to artist as far as standin out is because it can’t be categorized
