Bryce''s lyrics are what set him apart from other songwriters. Unique
situations told from his wry perspective, combined with unforgettable
melodies, leave the listener wanting more. The songs are rocking, the
musicianship is tight, and his voice is distinct and memorable.
One might say that his lyrics are most strongly influenced by Dylan,
his melodies by Springsteen. One can hear the influences of Lou Reed in
his style, while some have compared his guitar playing to Neil Young.
As a result, his music is very contemporary yet retains the strong
songwriting qualities of the past.
Bryce grew up in New York City, a fortunate atmosphere for any
songwriter. Living near St. Mark''s place allowed him to see a crazy
side of life, the East Village in the ''90s.
Bryce played in different bands but his songwriting took precedence.
He continued to write and perfect his craft and with so many songs to
his credit went to Hot Sound Studios in Chelsea to record. This
resulted in the birth of his debut album, "Boom Bang City."
Bryce is a member of the New York Songwriters, whose performances at
the Bitter End and CBGB''s can be seen on live webcast. He is a member
of ASCAP.
He continues to write profusely and looks forward to concentrating on
performing and bringing his music to new audiences.
