In an age where indie rock has become the popular choice of music, it seems that so many bands get lost in the typical formula and trends of musicianship and live performances.
Then there''s Brenn, the Tennessee post-indie rock band whose debut album, "Come Back to Aria", reflects an incredible mix of instrumental debth and memorable lyrics that will be sure to gain the much needed attention for these eclectic musicians. Produced by Stephen Gause in Nashville, the album sets new standards of passionate and inspiring music that creates a very different listening experience. Garnering early comparisons to the likes of Radiohead and Coldplay, while extracting influences from Pink Floyd, The Police, and Sigur Ros, Brenn has created a sound all their own.
Since forming in 2004, the band set forth creating music described by fans as a sensual experience created by driving guitars, electronic synth and lush vocals. Performing with acts such as Stars of Track and Field, IV Thieves, The Lonely Hearts, Bang Bang Bang, Autovaughn, and Rookie of the Year; the four-piece act continues to gain attention and credibility for their live performance.
"When people see us live, we hope they walk away not just hearing another rock band, but truly captivated by the music" says guitarist, John-Paul Gradone.
"All of our songs are written about my personal life and relationships with people," says lead singer, Joel Larabell. Larabell has made a conscious effort to stray from the typical "love song" and focus more on everyday relations, helping others in need, and provoking listeners to be aware of their actions. "We want to create a way of escape and give people music to listen to at night, when they don''t want to fall asleep."
Brenn is taking their music nationwide in hopes to reach mass audiences through each song. With their debut release set for August, Brenn is carving a way to reach audiences through passionate music and a devoted approach to life.
