Who''s lifetime? Her lifetime; the lifetime of a woman. That of joy, pain, ups, downs, triumphs and struggles. S.h.a.r.(o).n fully embodies everything it means to be a female in our modern day world, a world where we all wear many hats, and Brooksie, the pet name she goes by with close friends, does this well as she effectively executes being a mother, daughter, sister, cousin, neice, friend, lover, entrepreneur and an exceptionally gifted entertainer.
Born November 9th 1977 and raised on the Caribbean island of Barbados, Sharon Brooks has been there, done alot of that (even though she won''t speak about it much) and is now prepared to claim her rightful place in the entertainment industry as a truly respected and seasoned artist.
S.h.a.r.(o).n.''s introduction to the stage was true to her roots as she took part and won local competitions at a very ripe age alongside another well known Bajan import Rupee and subsequently went on to sing back vocals for such big name soca bands like Spice & Co. and John King & Jegna. Through these Barbadian powerhouses S.h.a.r.(o).n got the chance to tour the Caribbean and North America and back well known reggae, soca and dancehall acts Like Beres Hammond, Like Beres Hammond, Machel Montano, Sparrow and others at venues such as Reggae Sunsplash in Jamaica, Trini Carnival, etc. S.h.a.r.(o).n then went on to represent her Island as National Ambassador and as Miss Barbados in the 1995 Miss Carnival Competition in https://www.tradebit.comcent and The Grenadines.
At the age of 19 her personal and musical interests took her north to Montreal, Quebec and then Toronto, Ontario. A little while later S.h.a/r.(o).n ended up in Beijing where she worked stages for a couple of months and penned the lyrics for her debut album.
In 2000 S.h.a.r.(o).n got together with now one of her best friends Andrew Craig to create a very reflective musical masterpiece that is "A TASTE OF LIFE", which spawned such hits as: Raindrops, Woman, and Slide(GO SEE THE MUSIC VIDEO @) https://www.tradebit.com
S.h.a.r.(o).n has since found her way back to Montreal and has embedded herself within the scene performing at such well known clubs like the Jell-O Bar, Sofa Lounge, Bourbon St. West, Club Myst, 40 Westt and the world renowned Time Supper Club.
S.h.a.r.(o).n has began putting the finishing touches on her sophomore LP and this time has recruited local heavyweights like James DeSalvio, Ben Comeau Stephen Thomas, DNA Productions, Planet Studios Montreal, Preach of The Ville, All Good Music and Jean LeLoup whom plays the hardcore guitar lick on "I Like It Like" and collaborated with S.h.a.r.(o).n to manifest "Tangerine" a song that is used as the theme song in his upcoming foreign film release of "Tangerine". She also lends vocal arrangements to several French and English albums across Canada and The Caribbean.
S.h.a.r.(o).n is also a fierce business woman who has founded Jairo Entertainment, a management company that provides entertainment services for clients on all levels and also provides a network for Artists to explore and share opportunities of all kinds...one of her motto''s - more done in meticulous mass. This is exemplified as S.h.a.r.(o).n.''s most recent addition to the line up of Canadian Multi-Musician performing group KALMUNITY. Together, KALMUNITY, Jairo Entertainment, The Stephen Thomas Group and Youngstar Records will be hosting a series of performance shows in February 2006, featuring Black History Month, throughout Montreal and Canada. But it does not stop there, in the summer of 2005, S.h.a.r.(o).n.''s gospel track "Follow You" from her first album was one selected for the Montreal Mass Choir''s debut DVD recording. S.h.a.r.(o).n. also had the honor of performing with the choir. She is also an avid member of the IMANI Gospel singers, which is a local spiritual group dedicated to healing through song. Her backing band KRYTICAL MASS delivers the goods. They are entertaining, yet musically sound, choreographed and include: Rapper Preach 514 (https://www.tradebit.com spoken-music artist Stephen Thomas (https://www.tradebit.com and often feature Freddy V from Eclipse and Odessa Queen Thornhill on vocals. Their show incorporates originals and limited covers, specially selected by the band members. Combined, the group has created their own cult following, and an over 5000 strong fan list, within Montreal alone. In 2005, their aggressive touring plans already saw two of the artist making performances in London England, and dates in the Caribbean and across Canada and the US are being confirmed.
