Bob Malone''s Top-Secret Eggnog Recipe (serves 1)

In small bowl, over sink, beat until light:
1 Egg yolk
Beat in slowly:
1 Tablespoon Sugar
1/4 Cup Cream
A dash of salt
Set mixture aside.
Fill one large (12oz) rocks-glass with:
Bourbon or Rye whiskey
Carefully lift small bowl, and pour egg yolk mixture into sink.
Drink whiskey.
Repeat.

Have a fine holiday season, and remember these words of wisdom from Mark Twain:

QUOTES ABOUT BOB MALONE:

"You''re a Baby Boomer wondering why nobody writes songs like your old favorites...that fueled the soundtrack of your youth - Bob Malone is the kind of guy that could make you weep."
The Palm Beach Post

"The Man is connected. He''s plugged in. Into that thing you hear when people play and sing who were born to play and sing. God made them that way. They''re not out digging ditches or laying bricks because they''re on this earth to make the music that gives the ditch-diggers and bricklayers a decent reason to get out of bed in the morning."
Paul Zollo (Rolling Stone, Spin, Songtalk)

"Malone connects with audiences via his self-depreciatingly witty banter and songs...sung with an affable misanthropy that recalls Randy Newman and Tom Waits. He''s also a dazzlingly skilled pianist."
City Link (Broward/Palm Beach, FL)

"Malone has monster chops, going from a breathtaking stride into a devastating blues with equal aplomb, and his songs have an impressively high degree of wit and accomplishment."
Albany Metroland

"A little medicine from this blues & boogie master will definitely lead us to a longer life."
Southland Blues Magazine

"Sharp wit, rootsy New Orleans piano style, whiskey-cured vocal growls and stylized vocal howls make him a tonic."
Boston Herald

"Bob Malone is a man of remarkable talent...[he] growls and caresses his bluesy material with the vocal aplomb of a master."
Long Island Blues Society Reviews

"For all his considerable chops, Malone is a showman first and foremost...Malone pounded the piano and belted out vocals with the fervor of a man on fire."
L.A. Village View

"Mixing equal parts swing, Blues and jazz, Malone''s lighthearted songs charm and set the feet in motion. Born in New Jersey, he sounds like a New Orleans native son."

****1/2 "Malone is in John Hiatt''s league as a scribe...Talent like this is rare today - in any style. A great record, one that fairly leaps from the speakers."
CriticsCorner Reviews

"Bob Malone''s songs draw on the wit and dry sense of humor of John Hiatt or Bob Dylan. Seeing his piano playing is worth the price of admission itself."
Easy Reader

"The grand tradition of barrelhouse piano as practiced by Professor Longhair, Dr. John, and Little Feat''s Bill Payne...the best of American musical tradition."
Sean O''Neil, BAM Magazine
