Details:
Bobby Strange, one of the cornerstones of the Jersey Shore''s original music scene, continues to build a national and international following with the release of his new EP "Halfway Home". Produced by John Noll of Retromedia Sound Studios, the EP features P.K. Lavengood of the John Eddie Band on Guitars and bass and past and present Asbury Jukes, Kevin Kavanaugh on keys and Joe Bellia on drums. The five songs on “Halfway Home” run the gamut of genres from the rocking “Without It Within”, to the sardonic “You Better Think”, to the spiritual “Days of Faith”, to the romantic “jane”and ending with the folky “Suki’s Smile”. The common thread tying the whole thing together is Bobby’s voice which adds just the right mix of soul and grit to his lyrics and melodies.

After spending the early part of his career playing electric guitar with a long-list of bar bands from New Jersey, upstate New York and Long Island, Strange has, in recent years, focused on his original solo career developing his talents as a singer songwriter with a more stripped-down sound -- just Bobby and his world-renowned autographed black Takamine 341c!

A six-time nominee for "best male solo artist" at the prestigious Asbury Park Music Awards, Strange has toured or shared the stage with such legendary performers as Bruce Springsteen, Lucinda Williams, Jakob Dylan, Willie Nile, Gary U.S. Bonds, Richie Havens, Dave Sharp (The Alarm), Sam and Dave, The Crystals and Southside Johnny, just to name a few. He has performed at all of New Jersey''s top original venues including The Stone Pony, The Count Basie Theatre and The Saint, in addition to New York City''s Lone Star Road House, The Bitter End, Kenny''s Castaways, and his favorite venue, the Ed Sullivan theater, which is now home to the Letterman Show. In recent months, Bobby has also graced the stages of the historic Roxy, L.A., The House of Blues on the Sunset Strip in West Hollywood, The Hardrock Cafe, Pittsburgh and the Astoria Theatre in London.

Strange''s ever widening appeal has extended nationally to syndicated radio, where his original song "Shut Up and Sing" has been prominently featured on The Laura Ingraham Show reaching millions of listeners on hundreds of radio stations across the United States each day. You can also listen to Strange''s latest singles --"Without it Within" and "Sacred Ground" on WBJB 90.5 "The Night", the Jersey Shore''s top radio station.

Among other credits are songs he contributed to the soundtrack of "Greetings From My Hometown", a highly-regarded documentary about the Jersey Shore and its music scene, produced by Hollywood based, award-winning movie producer, takahara "macky" makiura.

On the first of his five tours of Great Britain in the past two years, Bobby''s last EP, "Reach Deeper" reached the coveted #1 spot on the well-respected Feenstra Play List for the month of June and in addition was named one of the ten best for year! "This man has the words to express what thousands feel," Feenstra said of Strange''s song writing. "Bobby''s songs go right to the core, with their raw gut honesty, and real feel."
