BODISARTHA (pronounced “BO-dee-SAR-tha”) is a 3-piece guitar-driven rock band coming straight out of the american apocalypse sometimes referred to as the bible-belt.
Birthed from the ashes of Springfield, MO underground rock band GrassCanon (a band that played shows from 2001 to 2003, including radio supported concerts at the Juke Joint (now under new ownership as The Rockwell) and Burgundy Room, and performed live acoustic material on a major radio station, KTOZ-FM 95.5), BODISARTHA''s aggressive brand of alternative punk rock has drawn comparisons to the Pixies, Queens of the Stone Age, and Nirvana while maintaining a degree of honesty and danger seldom seen in the age of corporate rock. After numerous lineup changes and relocating to Kansas City, BODISARTHA eagerly anticipates introducing their new songs to fresh ears.
BODISARTHA’s bare bones approach aims to break bones with infectious melodies and ferocious attack.
