Biography
Get ready for a dynamic, energetic, entertaining line-up of old standards and original tunes. Donna Bailey delivers a strong, sultry sound and lights the flame in the TORCH. Rich vocals, a quick wit, and friendly audience interactions have created a large fan base for Donna.

Her new CD, BECOMING.....Ballads, Bossas, Blues & Beyond, recorded at Heid Studios in Pittsburgh, is receiving local and national radio air play. It includes a combination of loved American Standards and two of her original compositions that are regularly requested by her ever-growing following. She recorded "It''s Always 4 A.M." after working with Los Angeles based, Ron Anthony (who played guitar for Frank Sinatra for 10 years) and co-wrote the tune with Sammy Cahn. Her choice of great musicians on this CD includes Jason Hollar on bass, Mason Embry on piano, Ken Karsh on guitar, Lou Stellute on sax and Thomas Wendt on drums. Jay Dudt (3-time Grammy winner), of Audible Images in Pittsburgh, mixed and mastered this CD.

National appearances include The Blue Note, The Rainbow Room, The Concorde in the Catskills, Dallas Convention Center, The Kean Theatre, Penn State University, Sister''s Coffee House, and the Byham Theatre in Pittsburgh.
She is regularly booked to perform with legendary and nationally known artists.

Television appearances include The Joe Franklin Show, The Nancy Gold Show, and Pittsburgh''s "On Q" on WQED TV. Donna is the Power Kard voice for the Pittsburgh Symphony, the Spa Uptown and MCC.

She won Entertainer of the Year in 1991 by Promise Records of NY and was nominated for an ASCAP award for Charlie''s Place, written for an off-broadway production of Harvey. Her composition "Gifts From the Heart" won recognition from the Volunteers of America Group. Donna has also appeared in numerous commercials (NFL with Steeler, Jerome Bettis), billboards, magazines, industrial films and national ads.

Donna performs for private events, in Theatre Concerts, Jazz Festivals and Jazz Clubs across the country. She performs for the Pittsburgh Jazz Society, The Westmoreland Jazz Society and was selected as head-liner with the Philadelphia based Eric Mintel Quartet for the Third Annual Monroeville Jazz Festival in 2005.
