BOBBY FRANKIN INSANITY
“Mr. Insanity” CD
DISCOGRAPHY (1969 – 2006)

I put this discography CD together as a reply to all my fans that have been wondering, Bobby where you been man.

This CD is very diverse in song substance, but it’s all got that Fenkell Funk Flava (Fenkell a street in Detroit that I grew up on).

Starting with Bring It On Down To Me (2K6) a song I first recorded in 1969 with Mr. Curtis Mayfield as the producer, on Thomas Records, Bobby Franklin’s Insanity the artist, a tune that is still loved and requested by fans all over the globe. This song and Booty ‘N’ Da House are probably the most commercial and danceable.

There is one ballad Sweeter Love on the CD that has a vocal and an instrumental smooth Jazz rendition where I highlight my vibe playing (My favorite instrument). All of the other tunes basically feature my guitar, funky rhythms, and pounding bass.

I also have some serious socially conscious songs like Nu-America, F4DW (Freedom 4 the World), Fools Paradise and Don’t Drop Da Bomb. The Bomb also has a vocal and smooth jazz arrangement, which once again features the vibes, (because I seriously believe, it is time for some good vibes on this planet).

In addition, there is one spiritual awareness tune called All Praises to the Creator. I have included dates of origin beside each song to show when they were first conceived. Once again, to show the world what I’ve been doin all these years in between releases. This is my first CD album (I’ve always had singles down thru the years).

These songs are hand picked from my catalog and presented to the world to wet the taste buds because there is more to come. I have composed more than 120 compositions and I want the world to hear them all so hold on and keep listening because Bobby Franklin is a songwriter, record producer, music and vocal arranger, guitarist, drummer, keyboardist, vibist and bandleader; a master of smooth jazz, classic rock, funky rhythms and blues.
