Here''s what ''Dirty Linen'' magazine said about this CD:
Look out! It''s an American/Celtic band that doesn''t take itself seriously! And truth be told, they''ve got a gimmick, too, in Tim Whittemore''s didjuridu and tuba. I guess he''s the "big blow" and, with the didg''s Australian roots, the rest of the lads are the Bushwackers. The Bushwackers may have their fun with the playing, but they''re wide-ranging musicians, tackling about 50 instruments between them, including the expected bodhran, mandola and flute and the unexpected steel drum, crumhorn and musical saw. They even make their own instruments, such as the funky diva, which is made of a banjo string, a juice can and some cut beachwood.
With the unique instrumentation, the band''s renditions of trad stalwarts such as ''Kilgerry Mountain'' and ''Dido, Bendigo'' are spirited, lusty and full of an off-the-cuff, street corner charm. Overall, this disc will likely make you want to catch the ''wackers at your local pub.
