The B.I.G. Will, was born in Quitman, Ga. raised in Barwick, Ga. (The B.A.G) began his career in middle school being heavily influenced by Dr. Dre & N.W.A., The B.I.G. Will would rap over instrumentals, put the rhymes on tapes and pass them out at school. "I was 12 or 13 years old rapping and everytime there was something that had to do with rap everybody would come and get me to do it WILL IS FRESH!"

Determined to put his city Barwick, Ga. on the map he dropped his first mixtape Armed & Dangerous Putting Barwick, Ga. Will felt he was ready for his indie debut, so in August 2002 he released The Neighborhood Superstar.

A name given to him by fans and peers in The B.A.G. The B.I.G. Will captured the headlines on the Quitman Free Press, the first rapper to do so. "The editor had interviewed me and I was like man they probably have me on the last page or something, so that next morning my cousin called said nigga you got the front page not only the front page the headline!", but there was little to celebrate with the album production being poor he only sold around 400 copies. "I was upset with the game I loved my whole life and my first thought was to give it up".
UNTIL.. Late 2002 he met Mario Meadows of Platinum Sounds Studio and President of Southren House Records in Albany, Ga., "I had talked to him on the phone back when I was doing my mixtapes (early 2002) and I was like this dude is crazy he just trying to get my money". But a meeting with Mario quickly changed his mind, "I called him up and I was just seeing what he was talking about and it was all good every since, man he changes my life, we listen to my album he was like you damn show got the potential". "He told me the little stuff that I was missing". So The B.I.G. Will listen to Mario and hit it big with the single Whatshername in 2003.
