MP3 beth wimmer - Lover from Last Summer

Beth Wimmer is the conscious person''s songstress - here are four fearlessly sensitive songs addressing the incompletion of selfish Lovers and unrequited Love.

4 MP3 Songs
ROCK: Americana, FOLK: like Ani

Details:
Beth Wimmer is hell-bent on her personal expression and connecting with people at all costs. Incensed by injustice, the Amnesty International supporter writes songs inspired by love - both mighty and reckless, the human condition, serendipity, pain, and pure instinct. She says, “Music is an ache and a remedy for me. It stirs me up and won’t leave me alone. I write and sing my perceptions this time around. Creation through communication just feels right...natural and proactive.” Her style: warm, lush, sure and easy; The Pretenders meet Tracy Chapman with a hint of Cranberries.

Beth’s songs are explorative and unabashed. “Wimmer unleashes painterly-like observations packaged amidst some of the catchiest hooks this side of Elvis Costello...she navigates a course through her own particular brand of blue-eyed soul, country-tinged folk, and completely unique musical odes celebrating human setbacks overwhelmed by personal fortitude and soulful transformation.”
~Thomas G. Reilly

Music Connection Magazine says of Beth’s indie-rock, debut album Live Within Live Without: “Wimmer has a visually attractive product that’s as warm and earthy as her music. Most striking is this performer’s hearty, folk-informed voice, complemented by violin and B3 organ. Wimmer sings effectively about self-realization (“Move On”) and even gets psychedelic on the album’s title track, “Live Within“...which includes bells and gongs...”

Beth Wimmer’s folk-soled album, Live Within Live Without, is co-produced with L.A./Texas drummer/producer David Raven. Raven has shared tracks and stages with Nancy Sinatra, Jewel, Norah Jones, Meat Puppets, and Anne McCue. The solid, lulling bass lines are provided by Taras Prodaniuk (Lucinda Williams, Dwight Yoakum, Michelle Shocked). And the soundscapey, tasteful Billy Watts (Bonnie Raitt, Dixie Chicks, Carlene Carter) is a mood-enhancing drug on electric guitar. All senses are heightened in these hook-laden compositions that fill Wimmer’s acclaimed new album.

Wimmer’s guitar and voice are warm and easy...in her lyrics are pure reminders of how life isn’t warm and easy, but uncertain. Sober and melancholy, yet holding sweet hope.

Beth Wimmer grew up with her poet mother and folk-singing grandfather in a wooded, river-banked neighborhood of Haverhill, Massachusetts. The youngest of five, she was intoxicated by her brother and sisters with incense, The Allman Brothers, The Who, and Janis Joplin. A ten-year-old Beth, while harmonizing along to Tommy and Cat Stevens for hours one day, was spied on and declared by her mother a remarkable songbird. So Beth’s dream of being a writer and singer of songs was born...and came into fruition.

LOVER FROM LAST SUMMER, EP INFO:
Three brand new songs on Love lost - and my search for my Spirit regained - and one older song of desperation, revamped for good measure. Lover from Last Summer and Self-Righteous...both inspired by extremely similar circumstances. Spooky. :) Again, graced with the perfect musicality of David Raven, Billy Watts, and Taras Prodaniuk joining me in expressing those scenarios. Weather was inspired by something a Lover had actually said to me, that we''d "made weather". Sad situation. And Break My Heart is the 3rd song I''d ever written, a few years back. I''ve never gotten that concept out of my head, so if you can''t beat ''em, re-record ''em. David Raven and I played on the latter two songs ourselves. Thanks again David for re-creating my expression of myself. Hope you will enjoy the diversity of the intensity of moods - on Love gone away. Peace thru Music, beth
(All four songs produced by David Raven and beth wimmer)
