With a unique blend of pop, piano, and hard rock, February State has exploded onto the Arizona music scene, quickly capturing the attention of promoters, artists, and people with ears, gaining dedicated fans and establishing their name. The piano based quartet has met success playing gigs all over. February State came together in 2007 and got their name from some simple Arizona history (Arizona became a state on February 14th, 1912). The band was formed by drummer, Jason Slocum, and guitarist, Jesse Miller, after the split of their moderately successful synth rock band, Sunrise Elementary. They quickly acquired frontman and pianist, Sam Hoffman, and the songwriting machine that is “February State” was formed. February State quickly discovered that they had something special which led to their self produced and self released debut record, “Sincerely Midnight Luck”.
