Forum: The assembly of the people for association of thoughts/ideas. Bane: anything destructive or deadly poisoning of. Our idea was to kill(bane) the current school of rock/pop music(the forum, represented by great pop dignitaries such as Justin Timberlake, the Maroon 5, and any number of faceless, nameless bands churning out the current version of Matchbox 20) Thusly, starting with a clean slate, we would write our own vision of how we believe current rock music ought to sound. Of course, you can hear the influences of some of our favorite bands from the 60s to the 90s(The Doors, Rush, U2, and Ocean Blue to name one from each decade) However, the blend of these influences melted in the pot to form something new, which is what we think people want to hear.
