Just to share a little bit: I was raised in Charleston, SC in an awesome family and began performing in church when I was 4. Throughout my growing-up years, I was classically-trained and had amazing performance opportunities in theaters, churches, and events.
Since preschool, I have known that I was called to sing for God. I thought I would pursue a career in opera. I became involved in Contemporary Christian music and somehow it became a part of me. Somehow this fit my vision perfectly.
Along the way, I finished college and went to grad school, getting my Masters in Mental Health Counseling and Psychology. After the degree came marriage to my gorgeous husband, Ben. And well, the rest is history in the making- 5 kids ages 5 to 10, a stepson age 17, a cat, 2 puppies, and a bunny rabbit. Life can be a little crazy sometimes, but what could be better?!
We are a typical family living in the rural ‘burbs near Orlando, Florida- small town life, big dreams.
When I’m not being a soccer mom, I’m recording, writing, sharing some love with friends ( and getting a lot of love back), singing a gig, or out speaking. Oh- and you can be sure to find me on facebook, so add me!!
It’s been a long and exciting journey since preschool. My life vision is still the same, just a little closer with every day to my dreams...God wants us to bloom where He plants us, and He also wants us to dream big. When we dream really, really big with the vision that God has placed in our hearts, then we can impact others for Him in a really, really big way!
I actually have a lot to say about striving to fulfill our highest purpose in life, but I’ll save that for a concert, a seminar, or my blog, OK?! LOL
