In 2000 I decided to write and record some music in hopes that one day somebody would hear it and enjoy what I had to share. I wrote about 20 songs and recorded them in the private studio of Sol Rodriguez in Fresno, California. I spent the next four years trying to improve what I had started. I then gave out CDs to my family and friends, who all enjoyed the music.
In 2009 I met Brad Elliott, a professional percussionist down in Los Angeles while selling fruit in a farmer''s market.
With some convincing, Brad was willing to listen to my stuff and helped me add percussion and narrow down the tracks to 10. He also did the Scripture verse reading and background vocals on two tracks: Abba and Hold.
His vision for the project was of a group of Christian brothers sitting around a campfire singing praise and worship songs, walking down a Romans road. Brad worked with his pal Aaron Schwoerer, who engineered, mixed, and helped produce the final cuts. Then, my wife Holly had the bright idea of putting this album online for my Christmas gift. She has been invaluable in inspiring me to share my music with more than just my family. I hope you enjoy the journey.
