In celebration of the 50th Motown Records Anniversary, Detroit’s Saxophonist, Duane Parham will be releasing his new CD single and in 2010 the released of the 14 song CD follow be the release of the DVD Documentary.
In commemoration of this celebration, Parham has produced a CD single, a 14 songs CD, and DVD Documentary with Motown greats including The Four Tops, The Miracles, The Contours, and The Original Vandellas, just to name a few are featured on Parham’s latest CD’s and DVD Documentary.
"Motor City Sax Appeal" mixes Motown standards like "Standing in the Shadows of Love" with original Mo- Jazz compositions by Parham. The result is a unique sound with a blend of two very popular music genres. "This project has a special meaning for us personally," said Duke Fakir of the Four Tops and Bobby Rodgers of the Miracles. "The Motown songs are classic, but Duane Parham and his horn has refreshed them for a new sound that I think both Motown and jazz aficionados will appreciate," said Duke Fakir.
"The experience of recording with these performers, whose songs I have enjoyed for so many years, has been amazing," said Parham.
