Madness: mental disease, anomalous, or at least not conventional perception of reality and relationships, uneasiness in adapting to social conventions, with a consequent violent reaction, oriented towards self or others.
"Follia" is a journey, an odissey through the eyes and the words of an apparently ordinary individual, who secretly cultivates a repressed, vengeance yearning instinctuality within himself. A journey that begins from the search of a dissociation from reality ("Nuove distorte sensazioni", "In trance"), passing through the gradual separation from the world, the paranoia ("Un'' altra pelle"), the obsession for an affection-free, mechanical sexuality ("Il momento del silenzio" , "Per non morire"), leading then to ritualisms, to obsessiveness for power, to violence, perhaps generated by the desire of violence itself ("Modus operandi", "Fredda"); reaching, at last, the deprivation, the pain, the death (real or metaphoric?) and the "rebirth" , or the acquisition of a new awareness of his own instinctual and reasonless side and, perhaps, the ability to control and sublimate drives through art ("Teorie disconnesse", "Quella luce", "L'' assenza").
All this is told without any didactic or moralizing intent: we certainly don''t want to glorify violence, and we think that is obvious and superfluous to condemn it, but we are convinced that it would be more important (but more difficult, we know) to state how that thing we superficialally define as "evil" is in truth the distorted and undermined counterpart of the impulsive and passionate nucleus of the human mind…

La follia: la malattia mentale, la percezione anomala, o quanto meno non convenzionale, della realtà e dei rapporti interpersonali, il disagio nell'' adattarsi alle convenzioni da questi imposte, con una conseguente reazione violenta, orientata verso se stessi o verso gli altri.
"Follia" è un viaggio, un'' odissea attraverso gli occhi e le parole di un individuo apparentemente ordinario, che cova e coltiva, però, dentro di sè un'' istintualità repressa e desiderosa di vendetta. Un cammino che parte dalla ricerca di una scissione dalla realtà ("Nuove distorte sensazioni", "In trance"), passa attraverso il distacco graduale dal mondo, la paranoia ("Un'' altra pelle"), l'' ossessione per una sessualità svincolata dagli affetti e dalle relazioni impegnative ("Il momento del silenzio", "Per non morire"), che sfocia poi nei ritualismi, nella maniacalità del potere, nella violenza, ma che forse dallo stesso desiderio di violenza è generata ("Modus operandi", "Fredda"); per giungere, infine, alla privazione, al dolore, alla morte (reale o metaforica?) e alla "rinascita", intesa come acquisizione di una nuova consapevolezza di sè, della propria componente istintuale e irrazionale e, forse, alla capacità di controllare e sublimare le pulsioni attraverso l''arte ("Teorie disconnesse", "Quella luce", "L''assenza").
Tutto ciò è raccontato senza alcun intento didascalico o moralizzatore: non vogliamo certo glorificare la violenza, e riteniamo che sia ovvio e superfluo condannarla, siamo però convinti che sia più importante (ma più difficile, ne siamo consapevoli) osservare come ciò che superficialmente definiamo come "male" sia in realtà la controparte, stravolta e sovvertita, del nucleo più impulsivo e passionale dell''animo umano...
