Fort Worth trio Satellite Dream''s intriguing EP Smashing Clouds arrived on my desk unbidden, but I learned a long time ago not to overlook music that materializes in my mailbox out of thin air. You can overlook a lot of worthy talent by doing so; giving Smashing Coulds a spin only reinforced that theory. A compelling mixture of arty impulses and insistent, ragged rock, the six-song effort is an impressive debut, one that must make for an intense live experience.
