This album came together by combining the talents of 5 mature musicians from the Waikato area of New Zealand. Rik Bernards (Knightshade) Simon Elton (The Furys) and Ritchie Pickett (Think), teamed up with South African imports Alf Pinfold and Steve Mitchell, to create a band that would put the emphasis on original material, vocal harmonies and studio recording. The result is ''The Rattler''. Ritchie Pickett has since retired from the band, leaving Rik (vocal/solo guitar), Steve (vocal/rhythm guitar), Simon (vocal/bass guitar) & Alf (vocal/drums). They played live in December 2009 at the Cambridge Christmas Festival on the big stage, to an audience of over 10,000 people. This set was videoed for future release.
