How do you begin to describe someone''s heart? How do you put simple words together to articulate how much passion another has for the glory of God to be revealed? In a very ancient writing (or you could say Isaiah 26:8) the author says, "Yes, LORD, walking in the way of Your laws, we wait for You; Your name and renown are the desire of our hearts." This is the best way I can some up what worsham desires to do. "I will never claim to be the most gifted or best fit to do this; my desire is to see God''s kingdom praised." These words flow out of Kyle''s mouth as he sips a hot tea at the nearest Starbucks (no, I am sorry, He is not the biggest fan of coffee). "In the past, I tried so hard to keep all the glory for myself, but when you encounter the love of Jesus, bragging about yourself seems boring. It would be like saying that a piece of lint is way more beautiful then all the wonders of the world put together… it makes no sense! Why would you brag about that??" With this mind, a longing flooded into Kyle''s heart to worship Jesus; not just on stage through music, but by pursuing Him in everyday life (and yes Kyle is still a sinner and messes up constantly. Romans 3:23 is proof enough for that!) "I believe that worship is my response to God in all areas of my life. Jesus has given all of Himself for me, why shouldn''t I at least try to give Him all of me? I mean look at 1 John 4:9-10: ''this is how God showed His love among us: He sent His one and only son into the world that we might live through Him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.''" In Rise EP that longing (as stated above) became evident. Some songs declaring people to rise and pursue Jesus'' calling on our lives (I Will Go/ Lofting High (I''ll Follow)), but also the cry for Jesus to rise and show the universe who He is and what He has done. That proclamation being most evident in the lyrics "King rise now; rip the skies above, rise now; drench us in Your love." With Rise EP comes the next chapter for worsham. He (and his friends) are looking forward to see what God''s glory has intended for them. But until all is said and done, you can find them all writing, drinking coffee (tea), laughing, reading, tweeting (and every other form of internet blogging), playing board games (or wii), and last but not least going to the generations to share the love of Jesus. For as Kyle wrote, "I will go into the world and scream You are my salvation." Let us join that song! Let us sing a song of change.
