Details:
A pleasant stopping point in a career spanning hard rock and electric Chicago and Delta blues,
Paul Ray offers breezy self-penned acoustic instumentals, a touch of country and
a courageous seven minute acoustic rendition of the Allman Brothers'' classic
"In Memory of Elizabeth Reed."

Ray''s instrumentals involve layers of acoustic and electric guitar tracks weaving in and out
in light Delta spirited improvisations. Hand picked hollow body electric themes dance about with
slide dobro licks. The results manifest themselves in the ethereal "Drop Til I Drink"
and the swampy title track.

Slide dobro takes center stage in the hillbilly classic "Dim Lights," as well as Neil Young''s
boozy "For The Turnstiles." The droning "Blues Man" re-creates Stephen Stills'' de-tuned single
chord ode to Jimi, Duane, and the Blind Owl.

The River Runs Dry is an innovative, out of the ordinary acoustic blues odyssey.
