Details:
Nowadays, it seems as if being in a band is as common as going to school, making for a local music scene that is starved for artists to stand out from the rest. While most bands are content sounding like someone else, A Day Without Words is creating its own flavor. You might say they resemble artists like Jimmy Eat World, Blink 182, and Mae, but A Day Without Words separate themselves with memorable stage performances, catchy melodies and unique breakdowns that are attracting more fans with every show. Putting the relationship with their fans above all else, A Day Without Words is pushing to the front of the pack and is poised to take their emo/punk/hard rock style to the national level.

A Day Without Words originally formed in October of 2004, when the members of three broken bands decided they wanted to do something different. They had each been a part of the Arizona music scene for a few years and each had something unique to contribute to the group. However, when founding-guitarist Brandon Yost decided to leave the group in early 2006, a longtime friend stepped-in and collided with destiny as the group is now solidified.

When these four individuals came together for the first time, they clicked together instantly. Each member of the band had a common goal: to make music that young people could truly relate to, and to have the time of their lives while doing it. The result is songwriting that goes a step further than most bands... Rather than jotting down cliché lyrics and overused rhymes, vocalist and rhythm-guitarist Jesse Pastorkey sings of real life trials and tribulations with heart-felt emotion, and plays with a haunting depth. Carried by the rhythm of Paul Stephenson''s poppy and melodic bass, Kyle Wilsey''s ferociously pounding drums, and accentuated with the earnest and passionate lead-guitar of Chris Moreno, the band has developed a euphonic and sonorous sound. When the lyrics lock in with the music, its impossible not to sing along.

Since their inception, A Day Without Words has made very fast progress. Despite their originally grainy and crackly recordings, MySpace listeners became enamored with the band. Now featuring professionally recorded and mastered music, the website (https://www.tradebit.com receives hundreds of hits a day. Additionally, A Day Without Words has shared the stage with such acts as: Nural (Hopeless records), New Years Day (Former members of Homegrown and Jamison Parker), and many up-and-coming local bands. Whats next for the band? They have just completed their first full length album independently, and now look to start touring the country to support its release. Aptly titled: Somewhere Between Hello and Goodbye, the album gives listeners an exciting and emotional feeling from beginning to end. A Day Without Words will always continue to do what they love, and with their upcoming release, hopes that more fans will have the chance to feel the love in their music.
