Azim can be described as what old school musicians would call a "true artist" meaning he writes, produces and records all of his own music. Every word, note and sound that''s heard is original. He even co-directed his first music video. Azim''s single is an enhanced CD that includes the song and music video, it autoloads on your personal computer/mac. It also includes 5 snippets of music.
This lyricist/producer/vocalist is a very multi-talented individual that has been writing poetry since the early age of seven years old. Azim has won many songwriting contests to include the "Footlocker Cool School Video", The National Heart Associations "Stop Smoking" and also The Calvin Rolark "I Love Life" songwriting contests. Azim has toured the east coast with the "BET-Black Expo tour", he also performed at "The World Famous Apollo Theatre" in New York City. Azim''s goal is to make a positive impact in music and ultimately write and produce for other artists as he advances in his career. When asked about his musical passion and his future plans, Azim answered- "My forte is writing, that''s what I enjoy doing the most and have been doing the longest, although I do enjoy producing. I guess my next choice would be directing, whether it be video or film, that''s another area into which I''d like to venture. In the meanwhile, I just hope that everyone appreciates and enjoys my musical contributions."
Azim''s Cd is a mixture of mass appeal material with content catering to both a younger and a mature audience. His musical influences range from Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye and Babyface as entertainers, writers and producers. He currently attends The University of Maryland University College where he is majoring in Business Communications.
