Alex Duncan, Reggae, Dancehall, Soca Sensation has been packing in the audiences for over ten years. Originally from the Island of St. Kitts he became the lead singer of the Seattle based music ensemble Jumbalassy. He has won awards for Best World/Ethnic band and Best World/Ethnic album which brought him international recognition. Being from St. Kitts, Alex has a broad base in all types of music, but for him, Reggae is the most influential. His inspirations range from Bob Marley to New Edition and dancehall pioneers such as Buju Banton and many more.

In over 200 live performances a year, his high-energy dazzles, leaving a powerful impression of the music he stands for. With his passion for the respect of human life, Alex is a unique artist in our time. USA Today has recognized Alex and Jumbalassy as one of Seattle''s 6 "active and unique ensembles."

Now Alex Duncan has taken on the status of solo artist. His first solo album titled “Say Alittle Prayer", released in 1997, received critical acclaim.

Other albums followed, "Show Me Love", "Time", "Warning, Live Jumbies", and the new 3 song EP, "Midnight" for 2006. To be followed by an upcoming full-length album, titled "After Midnight."

He has made special appearances from New Mexico to Vancouver B.C.. Also including the Unlimited Hydroplane Races in Pearl Harbor, Goodwill Games and many benefit concerts supporting AIDS and homelessness. Other prestigious events include Reggae Sun Splash, Sierra Nevada Music Festival, California Reggae on the River, Phoenix Arizona Reggae on the Plaza, Bumper Shoot, Bite of Seattle, numerous college events and the St. Kitts Music Festival.

Duncan has headlined and shared the stage with international superstars such as Ziggy Marly and the Melody Makers, Jimmy Cliff, Burning Spear, Buju Banton, Beenie Man, Capleton, Bares Hammond, Eek-a-Mouse, David Rudder, Byron Lee and the Dragonaires, Arrow, and Inner Circle.
