Details:
Island Bliss! Alien Bliss is the pop alter ego of Michael Hodjera, singer, song writer, multi-instrumentalist, record producer and author. Several of the songs on this CD were written during a year-long stay in the islands which, besides inspiring this CD, also spawned two novels. Find out more about what Michael Hodjera has been up to lately and listen to all the songs on this CD in their entirety before you buy at the brilliant, brand new https://www.tradebit.com website by clicking on the link below!

“Bucket ‘o Bolts” is a pumped little ditty about crimes without victims. It’s also a cautionary tale about underestimating someone based on their age. This is cowboy rock n roll on steroids.
“Island Girl” is a transparent metaphor for the island experience in its most positive manifestation. This is the Hawaii we love. Shaka!
“Prejudice” is a reggae-style look at racial bias in the islands cleverly disguised as a love song.
“Elvis In Milolii” drips Elvisness and was written in lieu of the novel that eventually succeeded it, "The Return of the King: an Elvis novel," now available through all the usual online outlets and through a bookstore near you. Be sure to check out the exciting sequel "Bright Light City" which has just been published.
“Pele’s Got a Hold On Me” is a song about the famous island goddess of the volcano.
“Love Her So”–a slightly idiosyncratic love song, a personal favorite.
“Where The Warm Winds Blow” is the first song I wrote upon arriving on the Big Island and is perhaps the most quintessentially ‘island-style’ song on the project.
“Can’t Be Elvis”–who says? Check out my books!
“Mental Feng Shui” a rockin’ like R & B number about psycho-spiritual house cleaning.
And finally “Hard Rock Lava Stone” a tongue in cheek song about the relief of getting back to the islands after a sojourn on the bad ole mainland. Aloha nui for now!
