Alessio was born in Brescia (Northen Italy) in 1979, he came across the music world through Hip Hop and R&B.
Thanks to Hip Hop he got the chance to experience the stage, and a very young age he started to travel around Italy with his group and solo to perform.
While growing up, his passion for Urban music moved closer to Soul. At the age of 18 he set aside the MPC and Rap Lyrics and started to study piano and singing, playing with the 2 “instruments” in a natural and spontaneous way. He began the creation of his first songs completely sung and played in an R&B key.
Alessio goes deep inside soul, he is totally captivated by artists such as Prince, Curtis Mayfield, Gill Scott Heron and Raphael Saadiq, some of his favorites.
In 2003 he moved to London bringing with him a mic and keyboard, still working on some old songs and writing new ones as well until April of 2004 when he came back to Italy to release his first single “Un Avventura”, written and produced by a friend Tiziano Lugli.
London’s calling was very strong and after short time he went back to dig into the Funk 45” bargains in the basement of Soho and to the Jazz jam sessions on river side…
Between London and Milan he finished the EP “6 Pezzi + 1 Rmx” and during the work on the record he started his friendship/collaboration with Dario Serafino giving birth to “The Italian Soul” project.
Some of the most significant names of the Italian Hip Hop scene like Stokka, Kaso and Dj Vigor, collaborated on “6 Pezzi + 1 Rmx”.
