JIM ALEXANDER: A product of the rich fertile farmlands of West Central New York State. Born and raised on a farm in Yates County Jim has always loved the outdoors, the farm activities of his youth and being close to the land he has always loved country music and started playing and singing at a very early age. His greatest musical influences have been his" Brother Joe" whom first bought a guitar and hence Jim developed a burning desire to play as well, with his Aunt Louisa buying his first guitar. A local radio personality," Lonesome Larry" who had several weekly radio programs playing his martin guitar and singing was also a great influence on Jim who used to play and sing on his programs when in his early twenties. One of his greatest influences of all has been "Hank Snow" whom Jim considers to be the greatest Country Artist of them all. Jim has been playing Country Music at clubs, Theater Shows, County Fairs, has appeared on television in Syracuse, New York and in Nevada. He entertains shut in folks occassionally in Nursing Homes and Retirement homes. Through the efforts of his friend Terry Miller whom has close ties to Nashville, Jim recorded his "Snowy Mountain" Album which is now a CD. Wherever Jim plays people line up to buy this CD. "Now and Then Theres A Fool Such As I" was for a long time a favorite on Central New York Juke Boxes plus this song received radio play on Central New York Radio Stations as well. In addition to the "Snowy Mountain" song written as a tribute to a favorite Uncle "Harod J. Bill" Jim is the author of five other songs on the CD as well.
