NYC singer/songwriter and keyboardist AMY CLARKE is a dramatic storyteller, crafting emotional songs around intelligent lyrics and spirited piano playing. Skillfully combining her classical training, soulful vocals, and eclectic international & electronic influences, she is a dynamic performer - commanding a grand piano, synth keyboard, or both, while remixing effects on the fly. A native Washingtonian, Amy was already playing piano by age three. She practiced to be a concert pianist, but then started to write her own music while appearing in professional stage shows in DC. At first playing only for family, friends, and at private house parties, she was eventually encouraged to bring her music to a wider audience. Since moving to New York City, Amy has done just that - performing solo at well-known venues including The Bitter End, Pianos, The C-Note, The Duplex, PS 122, Kavehaz, Caffe Vivaldi, 169 Bar, Cattyshack, Starlight, Marion''s, M1-5, The Poet''s Den, Laila Lounge, The Slipper Room, and in benefits for Theatres Against War, Habitat for Humanity International, Planned Parenthood, and several Off-Broadway theatre companies.
Amy''s music has been featured on national, cable & internet TV, on local radio shows, and on Sirius Satellite Radio, while Amy herself has been interviewed on both TV and radio, has starred Off-Broadway, appeared in both primetime TV and film, and has just finished recording and producing her first EP "After The Fall" in her studio in Williamsburg, where she lives with two inquisitive birds and a magical garden.
