AVALON
Avalon is a band comprised of musicians from many walks of life. All professional musicians who for personal reasons all found themselves living in the Mammoth Lakes CA. Home of some of the best Skiing/snowboarding, and outdoor recreation in the world. All the members of Avalon are not only professional musicians, but 3 of the 5 are world class athletes. They are regulars at the Mammoth Lakes Jazz Jubilee which brings 50,000 fans to Mammoth Lakes every July. And the Catalina Jazz Trax on Catalina Island, which host the top jazz acts from around the world. They have also performed at Blusapalooza.

Mike Hoover on Percussion and Harmonica,Vocals
Marty Bergenbauch on Drums, Vocals
Howie Stern on Guitar, Vocals
Joe Gray Jr. Keys, Vocals
Brian has played with Barry White, Shalamar, Funk This!, Miriam Fay, Maxine Nightingale, Ten to One, B''Jarco,, Guitar Jack, Joe Sample, Michael Linkton and many others,
Mike has been jamming with some of the best bands that come to Mammoth for the last 15 years.
Marty has and does play with all the best bands in the Eastern Sierras and is the drummer of choice in the area
Howie we call Bach to Rock, He can play any style and smokes them all.
All the players in this band are capable of playing any style of music.
However, their forte is Jazz, R&B and Blues
Often special guest artists join the band. Live they have performed with Guitar Jack, Chris Cleremont, Kirsten Knapp, Byron Fry, Joe Sample, and many others. They will be performing this summer with Billy Preston and Curtis Salgado.
