Details:
“Twenty Twenty” are an Adelaide duo consisting of Rik Davidson and Rob Hall.
After working for many years in various Adelaide bands both together and separately, they combined their talents in 2003 to write and perform original compositions.

Rik owns and operates “RDMS” recording studio as well as being a published songwriter in the USA. A full writer member of APRA, Rik is the main vocalist and plays most types and styles of guitar, from acoustic right through to 12 string electric lead. Many of Rik’s previous songs have had local airplay in Adelaide and now for the first time he has exercised total artistic control of his work with this CD.

Rob is a classically trained pianist as well as harmonist and bass player. His ability to score incidental parts and sing rich harmonies to compliment these songs shines through, especially in songs such as “State of Confusion”.

The title track (Anyhow) has been in the top ten of the acoustic chart at https://www.tradebit.com for six months. The ILR radio network added this song as well as “Black and White” to it’s playlists within days of recieving a copy of the CD.

Their music has been described as very melodic with poignant lyrics in the vein of Bob Dylan and John Lennon. “We are always asked to compare our music to other bands but nobody, including ourselves, has been able to pidgeon hole the sound” says Rik. In a world of copycat music it’s refreshing to find a unique product that still has mass appeal.

The immediate aim of Twenty Twenty is to perform more of their original material and increase their catalogue of published works. None of the songs on this CD have been signed to a publisher yet as the focus has been on generating enough interest in the songs to attract a larger publishing organisation.

Although principally a writing duo, “Twenty Twenty” draws on a variety of musicians for their live performances eg: “Savage Garden”. Their current drummer is David Isaaks, a world class player from Melbourne. Currently David is co-writing the next release with Rik and Rob. This is expected to be out in late 2006.

Live performances including “Radio Adelaide” are already beginning. ”This is a new lineup for us and we think this time we’ve hit the right combination of musicians to attract a world market” says Rik. So far the response from all concerned has been extraordinary.
