DYNAMIK BIO Everyone knows Seattle is a music city. From Jimi Hendrix to Heart to Nirvana, the city has a history of introducing amazing new sounds to the world. With this history in mind a new band is stepping onto the Seattle scene: DYNAMIK. A band that blends distorted guitars with clear voices, spontaneous style with steady beats, and catchy melodies with heartfelt lyrics.
DYNAMIK was formed when Pete Wilson and Cory Cramer sang together in their high school choir and started writing songs together. After high school, Pete and Cory decided to work full time on their music. They road-tested their songs in coffee shops and other small venues for a year, and then released their self-titled debut CD which they recorded, produced, and engineered themselves. With songs about girls, God, and everything in between, their debut record had something for everyone. Their CD and live performances got the band attention around town, and soon they were playing some of Seattle’s best music venues and festivals. In April 2004 they were invited to play “More Music at the Moore,” a showcase for up-and-coming Seattle bands at the legendary Moore Theater, where they performed for a sold-out crowd at the 1500 capacity venue. And in February 2005 they performed at the “Live from the Apollo” showcase at the 3000 capacity Paramount Theatre. Dynamik released their newest record, “Broke as a Joke/the Acoustic Album,” in February of 2005. They continue to record and perform all over the West Coast.
