MP3 Farmer Joe & The Ignorant Corpses - A Hole Nother Level

All songs written by FJIC. Produced by Farmer Joe. Recorded in 2007 on The Porch, in The Living Room, up in The Milky Way, and down in The Dungeon. Mixed and Mastered on The Porch.

FJIC claims this their grandest work to date. While not completely abandoning their purely ad-lib style of simultaneous writing and recording, the Corpses have here made use of several studios and/or studio spaces (all owned or controlled by band members) to record base ideas and concepts separately, then they all got together at once and in a final session, improvised on top.

“Yeah, it was just a way to assure we recorded more songs for this record,” said Farmer Joe. “We really can only stand to be in the same room with each other for limited time periods so I was searching for a way to speed up our particular process. This way we had some core ideas to work against while still retaining our impromptu/improv purity credo.”

From the Hole Nother Level press release: “Chock full of bizarre stylistic shifts

2. Original Synapse

My original synapse says
There’s something deeper here
There’s something scary here
There’s something not here here

My original synapse says
The world is a carnival
And I’m a circus freak
Turning the other cheek

My original synapse
Cries with urgency
Cries underneath the sea
Something deeper

Original synapses
In our collective heads
Original synapses
Where do you go when we’re dead?

Original synapse feels
Like electrical storms and peels
Off my soul like
Oranges in heat

My original synapse seems
Like memories and dreams
Like coconuts and creams
Like desperate screams
~
Original synapses
In our collective heads
Original synapses
I wonder where you led

Baby hold my synapse
Next to yours
Let’s have mind blowing sex
Literally

My original synapse flies
Through my head like contact highs
It’s always a surprise
Where it goes when I die

Dave The Wave – acoustic guitar
Fink Ploy - vocals, piano, organ
FJ – drums, backing vocals, guitar, synthesizer
Mikos – bass.
Eveloone – frying pan

3. Chilean Out By The Amazon

Joe: Fink stood by the Amazon River, wonderin’ what drugs he was on. E saw a woman standing in the sun. Standing in the sun. He once told me that Chilean women were the best, however I have no data to compare to this. Standing by the Amazon. Standing by the Amazon. Pissing Dave off. Chilean chili is supposed to be the best. Standing by the Amazon.
Fink: That’s in Brazil.
Joe: Same continent!
Fink: I like Chilean women.
Joe: Chilean, Chilean, Chilean…
Fink: And I like chili. I like beans. Kidney beans and Chilean women.
Joe: Chilean mummies, Chilean mummies, Chilean mummies
Mikos: I can’t hear myself! It’s dropping in and out!

4. A Hole Nother Level

Fink: A whole other country
Dave: A whole other country
Fink: Gonna take my love
Dave: Take our love
Fink: To a whole nother country
Dave: A whole nother country
Fink: Goin’ to Alaska
Dave: That’s not a country
Fink: It’s only a state
Dave: A state of panic
Fink: Take my love – see what fate has for my love
Dave: A whole nother level…
Fink: A whore nother level…
Joe: …Level of love…
Dave: A level of love
Fink: Eat my love…
Dave: Take our love
Fink: …With skim milk…
Dave: Hey, I wanna say…uh…ask you guys a question…
Fink: …And sugar peas…
Dave: …And that question is…
Fink: …And sausages
Dave: I was surfing the web the other day and…uh…I looked up the word ‘speculum’, thinking that it meant something different other than what a speculum really is. And what I found is…uh…it’s a small tool used to open up very tiny orifi, orifice, orifices…yeah, holes…So basically it freaked me the hell out when I saw this website because it showed women dressed up in sadomasochistic uniforms, sticking speculums into mens’ penises…it just freaked me right out and matter of fact it hurts me now and I’m just thinking about it and talking about it…now that’s what I call taking your love to a hole nother level.
Fink: A hole nother level…
Joe: …Level of love…
Dave: C’mon now, don’t be afraid of the speculum
Dave: That’s what I wanna do
Dave: Won’t you level with me?

5. Girl On The Internet

Met a girl on the internet
Funky hair and a GED
I haven’t met her yet
But I know that she wants me

Met a girl on the internet
Looking for a guy with “intelligence”
(She spelled it with 3 Es)
I wonder if she found him yet

Met a girl on the internet
Doesn’t do drugs or smoke
“You must be Christian” she says
To the guy she meets on the internet.

Met a girl on the internet
Freaky and likes oral sex
A submissive sophomore
Or so she says

Get a girl on the internet
Get a girl on the internet

Met a girl on the internet
Lives in Utah and she hates
Writing about herself at all
But she does have some pets

Met a girl on the internet
She grabs life by the balls
She wants to have some fun
She’s like me I’ll bet

Met a girl on the internet
Piercings and tattoos
And pictures in the nude
Think she likes giving head

Met a girl on the internet
She seemed like such a nice girl
She works in a deli, yeah
And she’s in debt

Met a girl on the internet
Met a girl on the internet

Met a girl on the internet
But she wasn’t really a girl
Despite her boobs, yeah
She was transsexual
~
Met a girl on the internet
Filipina into sexy guys
With long hair and hot thighs
“But hardworking” she says

I met a girl on the internet
Young, bi, into older men
She asked if I could keep up with her
And I said yes

Dave The Wave – lead guitar
Fink Ploy – vocals, guitar, organ
FJ – synthesizer, typing, drums
Mikos – bass

6. She’s Only Me

She?
She’s only me
Where I be
There is she

Say something…

I am free
To be me
As long as me
Means I’m she
See
She’s only me
The me you see
Is really she

Say something…
~
Say something…
She – she’s only me…

Dave The Wave – guitar
Fink Ploy – synthesizer, backing vocals
FJ – vocals, drums
Mikos – bass

8. Road Head

Dave: One a two a three a four…I was driving down the road the other day minding my own business, talking on my cell phone, going down the highway…next thing I know I’m being pulled over by the man…on the side of the highway…and he said, “Son, I’m going to have to see your license and registration please…and your insurance too, don’t forget about that…you are insured aren’t you…asshole?” I said, “Why yes officer.” “Did you realize that you were going a few miles over the speed limit in our…our speed trap…our money trap? Oh yeah, that’s right! I’m gonna get you! It’s going to cost you so much money to ride through my neighborhood.” But I said, “Officer, I’ll let you blow me if you get me out of this…’cause I can’t have thos points on my…on my license. See, it’s not the type of thing that you want to have points on…it’s not like a basketball game or a football game…it’s kind of like golf; where you want the lowest amount of points possible…you understand where I’m going with this?” So he says: “No.” That’s what he said.
Fink: I had a similar experience.
Dave: Let me guess…you were driving through…
Fink: I was driving…
Dave: Down the highway?
Fink: Drinking a beer…
Dave: That was smart. Were you on the cell phone too?
Fink: Yeah, I was drinking a beer on the cell phone…and I was getting some road head…
Dave: Nice!
Fink: Fucking cop pulls me over…
Dave: What did he say?
Fink: He said: “You know it’s illegal to drive with an open container of alcohol…while getting road head.
Dave: I don’t believe that for a minute…you know what I would’ve done?
Fink: Yes, I do…but I’m not going to tell you.
Dave: Tell me!
Fink: You would’ve run, man. You’re a pussy.
Dave: No, I would’ve just dumped out the beverage…
Fink: That’s what I did. Do you think I’m fucking stupid?
Dave: And then I would’ve been in compliance.
Fink: That’s what I did. I dumped out the beverage. He asked me to take a sobriety test.
Dave: And what did you say?
Fink: I said…
Dave: Let me guess, you said…
Fink: A sobriety test is really hard to do when you’re sober.

Fink – vocals, electric piano
FJ – drums, guitar

9. Turn Signal

Fink stares out his window
Drink making him think slow
The pig is coming

Which way he goes
No one knows

Fink pale as a shadow
Blinks in the blue and red light show

Which way he goes
He never shows

Something so basic
Something so simple
Something polite
Like a turn signal

Pink, your bloodshot eyes glow
The stink has reached the pig’s nose
Fink is the clink your new home?

Which way he goes
He never shows
~
Which way he goes
He never shows

Dave The Wave – guitar
Fink Ploy – lead guitar
FJ – vocals, drums
Mikos – bass
