Skyward Bound, a family group that has traveled for over 15 years, we are based out of Lebanon Ohio and the current group members are Penny Cavanaugh Mary Jo Clouse, Paul Clouse, and Randy Clouse. Skyward Bound has a unique style of their own that marries bluegrass harmonies and instrumentation with modern southern gospel lyrics. Their musical influences immerge from all genres of music including bluegrass, rhythm and blues, contemporary acoustic and southern gospel. They travel through out the year performing at many Churches, Festivals, Fairs, Christian events and live on the Radio.
Penny Cavanaugh, She is the manager of the group. Penny is from Cut-Shin Kentucky, she is the youngest of nine children. She decided to serve God when her grandson (PJ) got her into church; she became a Christian in 1986. She has been a minister since February 13, 1999. She has a great testimony of what the Lord has done for her. The Lord and Penny began the foundation upon which Skyward Bound have been built.
Mary Jo Clouse, A vocalist, songwriter, and guitar player, learning the mandolin. Mary Jo is the third youngest of the four children bored in Cincinnati Ohio. She is the daughter of Penny, and the mother of PJ. She married Randy Clouse in 1987. February 1999 she was called into the ministry to preach the gospel, Paul Clouse (PJ) Vocalist, songwriter, guitar and banjo player. PJ grew up in Lebanon Ohio. He is the only child of Mary Jo. He learned at an early age to play many different instruments. Although on stage he only plays guitar and banjo, Mandolin he''s also gifted on the bass. He is the Bus driver for the group and the sound technician on tour. Randy Clouse, Vocalist, and bass player. He is the second youngest of ten children. He is from Covington Kentucky. Grew up in Brooksville Kentucky he moved to Middletown Ohio married Mary Jo in 1987 and called in to the ministry in 1999.
