Supraluxe was borne out of a weekly standing jam session called Rock Club. Rock Club included a rotating cast of up to 12 musicians and a range of instrumentations and quickly evolved into a project with both shape and form.
Jim Risser, Bob Burns and Rich Pearson moved out of the practice space and into the basement studio to capture their work and formalize song structure.
With their second album, “Wake Leave Home Sleep”, Supraluxe continues to use the classic rock guitars and unforgettable hooks pervading their first album.
This time around, they’ve recruited Rock Club alumnus Bill Lee to play drums and add random guitar sounds, as well as another perspective to the sound.
The result is an epic, up-beat, grown-up set of songs that feels just as right on a cassette deck as on an ipod.
