Cedric first solo album "universal language of music” will be released in January 2010 worldwide. 10 years in the making, it represents a wide musical diversity.
Entirely recorded on a Pro Tool home recording studio system under his own label ”Blue Dream Productions”. With minimum funds but large amount of time invested.
It is predominantly rock sounding, kept simple and straight to the point. Catchy melodies and cool grooves. With a touch of pop, modern rock/grunge, classic rock, hard rock, flamenco, classical, industrial/gothic. The vocals can be soft and clean or raspy and angry. Large layered vocals have been laid on the choruses giving a sense of dimension and emphasizing the hook. Acoustic guitars and flamenco leads on many song. Distorted metal sounding electric guitars on many others. Orchestrated strings and pianos add a classical feel to the rest of the album.
Cedric Kohler was born in the Alps of Switzerland. One of the most picturesque places in the world. His music bring of mix of different culture of from all around the world. His tastes are so diverse that is his hard to put it in words. A citizen of the United Sates for the last 15 years, his music is deeply rooted with a European heritage.
The message is straight and simple. Music is a universal language of peace. It needs no translation; it can affect the soul to the deepest.
