Details:
"There is a Chopin player in our midst" was the comment of pianist William Masselos after hearing Alexandra Eames. Indeed, Chopin is a composer for whom she feels a great affinity, and she is frequently in demand for her lectures and performances of the Mazurkas. David Dubal, pianist and author of Reflections from the Keyboard has written, "Alexandra Eames is one of the finest interpreters of the Chopin Mazurkas, as both scholar and executant." Since her New York recital debut at Merkin Concert Hall, Ms. Eames has enjoyed an active performing career in the United States and has served on the piano faculty of the Mannes College of Music. She holds degrees from the Manhattan School of Music and the Juillard School and studied for fifteen years with Alexander Edelmann, whose influence was profound in these recorded works. Ms. Eames makes her home in New York City.
