Darren Smith is the Co-Creator and Composer of Repo! The Genetic Opera, a musical and now a Lions Gate film featuring Sarah Brightman, Paul Sorvino, Anthony Stewart Head, Alexa Vega, and Ogre of Skinny Puppy (https://www.tradebit.com). The feature film has been described as a Rocky Horror-meets-Blade Runner opera which has the most songs of any film musical in history (57). After being praised (Leonard Maltin) and hated (Ben Lyons) by the critics, Repo has achieved a cult following with over 45 groups throughout the world who regularly "shadowcast" (i.e. act along with the film, Rocky Horror-style) the movie. As a way of saying thank you to the legions of fans, Darren Smith is writing jingles/theme songs for each one of these shadowcasts, and this album is the first volume that pays tribute to the great work of the Repo groups located in Salt Lake City ("SL,UT"), Scotland ("Scalpel Scots"), New York ("Zydrate Enthusiast Network") and San Antonio ("Vanity & Vein"). The songs on this album are short - in true jingle fashion, they are between one and two minutes in length, and generally feature a group of vocalists.
