Ellzey started his music career at the tender age of 10 year old. He started out playing the drums in local talent shows. He was influenced by such artists as James Brown and Jackie Wilson. 39 years into the business he had a life changing attack on his life by some young thugs. After recovering from the attack Ellzey started off on his journey into GOSPEL music. Music of which he hopes you will support.
The Following Is A Statement from Ellezy regarding his Testimony, music and what the attack caused:
My purpose is to sing all over the world and open homeless shelters and help people find there dreams through GOD. GOD helped guide me throughout my life and I praise and except him in my life. I want every single person on this earth to have the chance to experience GODS love.
I come from a religious background of a father that is Pentecostal and a mother that is Christian. They were church goers all their lives. I remember one time I was about 18-Years old and I was listening to my fathers car radio building up the ambition to have a dream someday to become a singer. When I ran the car battery down, I thought my father would be very upset with me but instead he had faith in me and seen my inspiration for music and wanted me to carry forth with my dream. This victory to sing in JESUS name would be for both my father Charley P. Ellzey and my spiritual father LORD JESUS CHRIST, also my grandchildren who remember me by my song "JESUS IS THE ANSWER". Family love ones and so many more.
I was born in a church and always had a calling on my life. Satan tried to rob me a few times by attempting to take my life. This last incident that happened about a year ago when the devil tried to take my life once again but the couldn''t defeat GODS PURPOSE FOR ME. I never flew before in my life but had to fly to a Trauma Center. I had a cracked skull, blood coming out of my ears and a cracked cheek bone. Two weeks later I ended up breaking both my wrists and causing damage to my head in a fall. My baby daughter Shaklisha had to feed me, bathe me and help to get dressed. The entire time I was down the only thing that bothered me was that I "KNEW" GOD was going to heal me and that I was going to get Victory in his glory, I just wanted it to come fast. I has come.
GOD delivered me to sing at many places Meals On Wheels fund raisers, June Tenth Festivals, Youth Services and the Christian Life Center in Merced, California.
I want to THANK GOD for his gift of music. I truly want to continue in the will of Jesus.
