Generation 911 is an album written and produced by teens and young adults in our music business entrepreneur program reflecting on their lives in these times. The songs are a commentary of how they see the world since September 11, 2001 and even before then. This urban social/political cause compilation is a throw back to an era of the sixties and seventies when true artist stepped out of the box to express themselves bringing attention to social/political issues of the time through music. With the new millenium came new challenges, as the world has evolved into a series of events never seen before. This music and subject matter hits at the core of a collection of emotions and is as diverse as the artist themselves. This album gives our teens a chance to break new ground by giving them a voice in a society that aims to keep them in their place. The music is flavor packed as it successfully crosses urban soul, hip-hop, pop, R&B and Gospel. Poetry and commentary bring the elements of the album in synergy not typical of young artist today and gives us living proof that our world is radically changing.
