The Vespers are a seamless union of two brothers and two sisters that conceive a creative blend of music that gives their audience a sense of family unity, similar to the secret ingredient in Grandma’s gravy at a southern family reunion. The Cryar Sisters and Jones Brothers have been marinated in a plethora of musical backgrounds and compromise to find a unique blend of their styles; resulting in the harmonious resonance of The Vespers.
Crossbred from an assortment of genres ranging from the simplicity of acoustic folk to the grit of early Chicago blues, the album is a concoction of the siblings'' different influences. To preserve the distinctive sound they have defined for themselves, and to stay true as an independent band, The Vespers produced, arranged, and solely performed every morsel of “Tell Your Mama”. While no one in the band is even old enough to legally purchase alcohol, The Vespers pride themselves on the completion of this record as a young band, still green and still learning, but ripened as an ancestral company.
