Luna Versus You was born after I was asked to do a new song for a cartoon created by the incredibly talented Brad McGinty. When the day was done and the track was finished, I knew it was different than anything that I had done before. The distorted Rhodes was addictive, and the whole process was freeing. I had to create a specific feel and did so under my own guidelines of not censoring myself and not dragging the process out beyond one day, two at the most per song. It was an odd and refreshing feeling creating something and then not beating it to death by dwelling on it’s imperfections. It felt good, so I continued until I had an album’s worth of material.
