"And We All Turn to Dust" is the 3rd release by hard rock power trio TRAGIK. This album sees the band exploring the darker side of metal and heavy rock with pomp influences and progressive leanings, this CD will grab you from the first listen. Instrumental opener "Overture III" sets the melodic heavy tone for what is sure to be a favorite among Tragik''s live performances. "Jaded" rocks the house with Dirk Phillips'' pounding drums and Damian D''Ercole''s scorching guitar fills. "Can''t Find the Words" hears Phil Vincent performing a vocal masterpiece. With his Kip Winger/Paul McCartney tone, Phil nails this song from beginning to end. "Black & White" hits you over the head with it''s metal stomp and lyrical content. This song also includes a monstorous guitar solo from Damian D''Ercole. "Giving In" has some Toto and Boston influences along with some great double bass drumming from Dirk. "At the Shore" fools the listener with it''s calm acoustic introduction until the song morphs into a metal beast. "Before It''s Gone" is pop metal at it''s best with an ultra-catchy chorus and another seller vocal performance by Mr. Vincent. "Long Way From Home" has a Bad English/Journey vibe until the string section induced chorus comes along and flows through the speakers. "Shadows of Loneliness" has modern metal anthem written all over it but the quirky string section outro truly makes this song unique. "Nothing" sees Billy Roux performing all the instruments and Phil Vincent singing and screaming his heart out. This song is the essence of modern melodic metal complete with guitar shredding and multi layered vocals as well as Phil''s best Phil Anselmo impersonation. A great CD by a great band.
