The drownies is a garage punk rock band with an emphasis on raw, over-the-top music. With a goal of “creativity that borders on mental illness,” the band walks a fine line between epitomizing and caricaturing their genre. The major influences of the band are Iggy Pop, The Adicts and Lou Reed. In keeping with the tongue-in-cheek approach to music, the Drownies consists of Zack Lemon on lead guitar, rhythm guitar, vocals…well, everything.
