MP3 Mountain Saddle Band - The Ballad Of Kitty Jo
"The Ballad of Kitty Jo" is an anthology of eleven poems by Steve Taylor, spaced between ten cowboy songs including two originals by Harrington and two by Taylor. The songs were chosen to depict the cowboy life of the times and compliment the imagery of the poetry. The ballad is named for Kitty Joe Creek near Sunflower, Arizona, on the Bee Line Highway. Little is known about the origin of the name of the creek but, with some knowledge of the history and geography of the area and a vivid imagination, Taylor developed the story of the young lady, her cowboy and their life ''neath "The Rim".
