This is the second full-length from the Tilted Lids. The three young men have shown maturity beyond their usual party antics, with songs like "Brothers" exposing the more realistic relationship between emcee''s C-Note and Snake, but also playing it up with their old-fashioned hillbilly raps on tracks like "Lyrically Tilted," taking it back to that deranged allegorical-style that influenced the artists at an early age. Dj Hawaiian Hammer contributes again for a few tracks, lending his more traditional hip-hop style for production on the track "Drink Your Brews" and even steps up for 8 bars, as well as leading the project on their cross-over radio friendly heavy-hitter "Ridin 4 Wheelers" with the legendary Bizzy Bone from Bone Thugs-n-Harmony, taking the project to Phoenix Super-Producer Iroc Beats at 5th Coast Records, bringing the click full-circle from their days at Phoenix College together when Iroc was their teacher in a fortuitous Music Business class. Other notable tracks include "Family Shxt," produced by the Jokerr and serves as "a big thank you to all of the TIlted LIds and Skirts out there who loved and supported us throughout the years."
Without any of the sketches that notably were included in their first album "Bud LIfe"(also available from https://www.tradebit.com), "All Aboard" gets right to the point and doesn''t stop till the end of the line. With all the forward driving force of the metaphorical train that the TIlted Lids seem intent on boarding and taking hostage, the music definitely comes off as more aggressive and in-your-face sonically than "Bud Life", eluding to the fact that it is the same train the boys have been on all along, now with more mass and momentum from their continued experiences together. What the future holds for the Tilted Lids remains to be seen, but when their train arrives, the world will be anxious to hop on for the ride.
