Reviving The Lifeless
Drew Weber
08-01-06

The amount of effort that went into creating this album is, actually, incredible. One individual "Drew Weber" played each part, on each track, (drums, guitars, vocals), wrote each part, recorded, and mixed, to bring you (THE LISTENER) this album "REVIVING THE LIFELESS". Drew Weber did all that he could, bringing you an album with much flavor.
First, let''s glance at this entire album/work with a broad perspective. What does it sound like? Like any artist, Drew Weber has a broad music listening background. The main musical influences heard through this album could be Tantric, Alice In Chains, and Sevendust. Now that we made that broad assumption, let''s dive deep within the music.
First let’s talk drums. The crack of the snare, the stick attack of the toms, and the clear deep thunderous pounding of the bass drum can be heard through out this album from beginning of track 2 to the end of track 12. Quick intricate drum fills, and sometimes heavy double bass work is found perfectly mixed within.
As the listener dives deeper in to this album they will notice the work of the guitars. Besides the normal E,A,D,G,B,E standard 6 string guitar tuning, seven other tunings are used on this album. These tunings allow Drew Weber to take this albums listeners down pretty much what ever path he chooses. These tunings use arrangements of many different cords with sometimes intense screaming harmonics, giving the listener emotions of an intense thought process, or a soft passion. The guitar tracks on this album range from grungy metal to the softer acoustics. Diving deeper (Below 60 HZ) into this album you will find the depth and thunder of not only that pounding bass drum, but that of a low five string bass guitar. with the highs of the drums, guitars, and vocals you now have a deep filling rumble that is much needed in every album!
soaring over the top of all of the instrument work, are vocal tracks. As you listen you might be reminded of bands such as Tantric, and others, because of the some what deep front voice, and wide surrounding crisp stereo harmonies, that at times amount to 4 parts or more. Unlike bands such as Tantric, you might be reminded of Sevendust, Demon hunter, and other heavier bands because of the sometimes unexpected screams that rise and fall within the listeners path, giving this album a very unique style!
Unlike so many bands of today that state "make our lyrics what you want", Drew Weber has one message that he brings on every track of this album. His message is a message of love, and hope, that comes from only one in this world. This message will hit you from within just seconds of placing this album in your CD player. The message that Drew Weber strives to bring through out this album is the message of Jesus Christ, one who can give each individual in this world something that he or she is truly longing for, eternal fulfillment.
This album has tracks that fit almost everyone’s mood or occasion. So what are you waiting for? enjoy the audio clips that you will find here at cd baby, and when you find those aren''t truly enough, buy this album, that is surely full of surprises. This is one of those albums that you will buy in your life time, that you won''t regret.
