Music of any form is the mirror to creation. Indigenous people have from the beginning of time used sound and musical instruments in their rituals around nature’s cycles, and the Druids constantly fed sound into their environment to balance and harmonize their daily lives with that of nature’s force. Chanting, for example by Tibetan monks, as a daily practice, creates a harmonic effect that is used to heal their bodies and their environment. Their brain waves have been recorded as being in a deep theta state, (deep meditation), where they are able to quiet the chaos in their minds and bodies, and transmit the sound energy back out into their environment. Rhythmical expression has been soulfully tied in with the formation of communities, healing ceremonies, and obtaining altered states of consciousness.

Harmonic sound can locate and resolve any energetic disharmony and therefore support self-healing. Toning and singing balance the brain rhythms with the heart rhythms and together this results in increased immune function. The sound balances the brain through meridians, through the joints and spine, and through the chakra system. It is considered for the most part, a subtle gentle work that assists on a very deep profound level of consciousness. Light and colour have their own unique sound pattern, and these become an important factor in being sound partners in our creative design! “Sound is the intelligence of the universe”, in short we are able to connect with the universe and all the glory it has to offer us.

Every person on this planet has their personal unique voice print. Sound patterns recorded in a voice, mirror physical and emotions patterns, as well as genetic coding and energy blockages. A thin voice, one lacking in depth of resonance, can indicate an ungrounded individual, one who spends a lot of time in thought and dream and unable to pull forth the confidence for expression through their words. Any music coming from the solar plexus and base area of the body, stimulates those particular centres, and can result in the person displaying anxiety. Therefore, it would also make perfect sense to conclude that depressed individuals might choose to listen to upbeat music.

Soundwork deals primarily with the use of singing, toning, drumming, or any other form of sacred sounding or use of percussion instruments, which have been used for eons, to heighten connection with the sacred, intensify energy and evoke cooperation of spirit for a desired outcome. Soulwork is a multi-dimensional form of interacting with our universe, bringing in depth and insight to one''s core beliefs, and accepting and following the passion that becomes tangible through this therapeutic practice.

Denis Joseph Jestadt was born in London, England, and at a few months of age, his parents moved the family to Regina Saskatchewan where he spent most of his childhood and teen years. He loved to sing in the choir, act in plays, and create his own unique productions. During high school he was elected to the school board, and as Drama Director he created, through Improv, various Stage and Television Drama, Comedy and Musical Productions. At age twenty-one, he graduated from the National Theatre School of Canada in Montreal.

He performed with Regional theatres including the Stratford Festival, and moved to Toronto to expand in this career area. In the beginning stages, he performed, composed and recorded music with Anne Murray’s production team, “The Mad Folk”, “The Mole Basement Band”, and “The Answer”, as well as performing solo. Denis became the founder and performer of the Improv group “First Edition”, and later created his own Record Company “Love Radio Records”.

Throughout those years Denis studied and taught a number of philosophical and spiritual practices, and still found the time to father and raise his three children. In 2005 Denis co-created DreamPath, their mission to assist others in discovering their own creative talents and potentials. And so the journey continues. . .

"Authentik" and its title were inspired by the teachings of beloved Saint Germain. It is a compilation of recordings from around the time of the millennium, many of which were recorded with a drone of "E Flat Minor" in the background. In ancient times, this note was considered to be a vibrational frequency that should be totally banned from all existence, as the potentials of infinite creation, were at the forefront when this tone was either sung or played on a musical instrument. For those who have followed the wisdom of Saint Germain, it is apparent that now, is definitely the time to break through the out-dated paradigms, (get out of the box so to speak), and to totally express with sincerity our "authentik" self, whoever that may be. It is indeed a choice to be experiencing this wondrous healing journey.

The Miracle of Life expresses itself through you. You are your greatest gift. The Doors are open my friends. Walk through the opening with me and discover the wonder of what you are becoming. Welcome to the "New Energy." Believe in yourself. The Answers have always been there deep within you, but only now are they being realized in their new light of understanding. Life is an ever unfolding celebration.

Amazing overtones can be heard on the track titled "The Opening".

First Review of Authentik…the “Opening”

June, 2006

Drumming and chanting are the feature elements of this eclectic c.d.

The music is deceptively simple and ahead of its time.

Through the flowing of rhythms and interplaying of percussion, voice, guitar and ethereal sounds, the songs meld into each other. You have weaved a musical tapestry.

Denis Jestadt – writer, lead and producer – touched off his songs as a tribute to and in conjunction with the special energies of the millennium. It isn’t until now he has felt it acceptable for these to be released.

In order for the album to be best appreciated, it is recommended that the songs be listened to in sequence. It is a stand-alone, a great thing for an album to be. In this manner, it can be compared to The Beatles’ Sergeant Pepper.

I believe that Denis is making a strong attempt, especially in this fast-paced world, to convey how it is crucial to our well being that we take the time to truly appreciate the beauty in others, our surroundings and ourselves.
