Poetry can become an obsession if you''re fortunate, and I have been very fortunate. The poems on this recording range in subject matter from the empowerment of women to the election of our first Black President. I want my poetry to cover most if not all that I think about, sort of a recorded journal in prose. For that reason I chose to release shorter albums more often...so that we can ponder the same issues together. I have worked to capture each moment as accurately as possible. Hopefully you will enjoy my perspective.
