QUOTES FROM REVIEWS:
Praise for “VALE OF TEARS”:
Wycoff is a bona fide eccentric and artistic hard case…his corrosively witty story songs have the truthful ring of portraits drawn directly from life…He is also an expressive singer in the tradition of John Prine, Guy Clark, Gram Parsons, and Keith Richards.
Mike Boehm…L.A. Times (front page Calendar review}
Praise for “HAYMAKER”:
Wycoff reveals himself as a veritable force of nature…Haymaker is a future cult classic.
David Sprague…Rolling Stone Magazine
When Wycoff talks about playing with his friends he doesn’t mention that these friends include Dave Alvin, Chris Gaffney, John Jorgenson, and guitar god, Dick Dale…Musically, his dexterity is matched only by his guts.
Clay Steakly…Performing Songwriter (in top albums of the year review}
Praise for “L.A. RIVER”:
Wycoff’s songs spring from a refreshingly twisted honky- tonk mind…. With Dave Alvin and the late Nicky Hopkins ( Beatles and Rolling Stones piano player) providing plenty of instrumental swagger, this will hit radio programmers like a beer bottle over the head.
